Let\u2019s just say that those with Downs Syndrome are beautiful people. When we speak of treatment, it is not to cure Downs Syndrome but to make their bodies as strong and healthy as possible. Those with Downs Syndrome are more likely to develop thyroid conditions, suffer from infection, blood disorders, hypotonia, disrupted sleep, digestive issues and mental health issues. Many of these conditions start at the mitochondria or at a very small cellular level. This level can be strengthened in those with Downs Syndrome for a stronger cellular health. And as cells make up organs, this can have a great effect on overall health.<\/p>

The biomedical approach to Downs Syndrome is a system approach to optimize systems and functions in the body.<\/p>
